This year I am replacing my paths with something else. The cocoa mulch will go onto the beds. My biggest concern with cocoa mulch on beds is whether chemicals or pesticides were used on them. Does anyone else question safety for vegetables?Sandyjnhnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5013168975435779482.post-31782288376966093812011-09-27T07:29:19.906-05:002011-09-27T07:29:19.906-05:00how is it to walk on? i have some paths around my...how is it to walk on? i have some paths around my vegetable gardens to mulch and am thinking of doing the cocoa mulch thing because i know my cats don't like it.Byronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01626291052483168407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5013168975435779482.post-90554557050243377632011-05-08T07:35:16.238-05:002011-05-08T07:35:16.238-05:00Hi Garagehero,

The crispy rough texture lasts longer but it all depends on how much rain you get. That said, I've never seen the neighbors rotten cat in beds I've mulched with cocoa bean mulch.

StacyStacyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01152653502332462912noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5013168975435779482.post-2812808255421891552011-05-05T21:54:30.262-05:002011-05-05T21:54:30.262-05:00Is it true that cocoa mulch prevents cats from tak...Is it true that cocoa mulch prevents cats from taking a dump or peeing on your garden? I've been told that they find the smell and the texture annoying so they wont to the bathroom on your plants.garageherohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13219745150176346956noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5013168975435779482.post-18577999855429859212009-05-10T22:02:00.000-05:002009-05-10T22:02:00.000-05:00I just noticed it coming out this week Northern Sh...I just noticed it coming out this week Northern Shade, maybe there has been some delay in it shipping this year?

No worries Randi. I have a few bags left over from a year ago, so I'll probably just cover a smaller area. The initial smell is wonderful, and it is my favourite looking mulch.
